Remember Me Oh Summer...

Thought we needed a little green to liven up the place! It's usually by about this time of year that my soul starts longing for spring, for green, for warmth, and for life!
But I love the winter too. The season of introspection, going inward and laying low, we all need this time for our health, but our society doesn't allow it! Ever since the invention of the electric
light bulb, we have continued to distance ourselves from lives intertwined with the natural world and natural cycles.
Winter? I'm working 40+. Summer? I'm working 40+. Don't worry, not complaining here, just an observation. So what is the antidote to this insane way of life that we have etched out for ourselves? Do what you love. Pursue your passion. Live your dream.
Everyday make an effort, take a step, spend some time doing what you love, for nobody else but you. This is critical for your own personal health. If you want to paint, paint. If you want to make music, make music. If you want to install some wacky work of art out in public somewhere, conspire, plan, and make it happen.
Do not be cut off from yourself because of the mad rush of daily life in the Modern Age. Resolve to channel your truth on a daily basis, even if it's only 15 minutes at the end of the day. Do this consistently, and you will see your world blossom.
